You fail to mention the most important thing of all. You fail to answer that most fundamental question: Why?

You sit there going on about how hard it is to be around them, to know them, to know what they’ve done.

You reduce them to statistics. You blame their behavior on their parents or youth or whatever.

That is the attitude that leads to them getting killed.

Yes, rape and murder are fucking horrific. Black men have a lot to answer for.

But when you fail to see how the history of the very country we live in has led to this, if you dare to think that this is a “Black problem” rather than a white one, you are no help at all.

You call them damaged. You call their souls sullied. You sit here repeatedly calling them “less than” in so many ways.

You have so damn much left to learn.
