Why “All Experiences Are Valid” is Delusional
I'm stuck horizontal for today so I'll Bitch about things and maybe do a live vid later of me doing languages: first up, the myth that "all experiences are valid".
Experiences can be discounted by fact, by reality. Delusions are not valid.
Examples: people with mental illnesses that fall within the realms of delusion-inducing - including but not limited to anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc - have to battle or reshape their delusions in order to function.
Folks with beliefs in aliens, angels, or shit like rape victims are "asking for it" and anything else nonsensical but somehow not racism or cause and effect are not having valid experiences.
People who face life-threatening oppression from every direction have to overcome and repeatedly discount other people's delusional experiences of them as "lesser".
Yte supremacy, and all its related ists, is an enormous delusion that actively fucks up people's lives and purposely distorts truth.
You see, the difference between a legitimate experience and a delusion is whether it acknowledges or denies reality. I'm not about to pretend nonsense is somehow as valid as experience within context.
Nonsense has no context. It has no basis in reality. But it does distort the world.
Experience matters, the context surrounding it matters. They are not all created equal.
