Ah! Good question.

Love is the natural and organic response to seeing our values reflected in something or someone, or to what I call resonating with something or someone.

In the sense of loving something that may not be healthy or “good” it is simply an acknowledgement of reality.

You can certainly love your enemy, only from the perspective that you accept what and who they are and what they’ve done.

After all, there are more ways of loving than there are people. To love one’s enemy is to respect reality, to acknowledge their autonomy, and to believe in your own experience.

It is what it is.

In its resonant form, love is creation. In reflected form it’s connection. In acknowledgement it is recognition.

And the qualia of the kind of love we feel is always the logical outcome of our core values and precepts.
